Auto Turret
Crafts an automatic defense turret that shoots zombies on its own. Requires ammo from Gunsmith.
Priority: P0 - craft as soon as the blueprint is acquired
Blueprints unlock craftable items that dramatically improve your survival odds in the game. From the game-changing Auto Turret to the flexible Wrench, this page lists every known blueprint, where to find it, and what it builds. See the weapons guide for details on craftable guns like the Ray Gun.
Defense blueprints produce turrets, traps, and other structures that hold back the zombie wave so you can keep baking. Prioritise the Auto Turret above everything else — it is the highest-return craft in the game. For a full defensive layout strategy see Diner Defense.

Blueprints do not appear in any shop — every blueprint must be discovered through exploration or earned from a boss kill. There are three primary sources:
Where: Dilapidated houses scattered across the map
Each rescued NPC unlocks a craftable item blueprint
Where: Mad Scientist (Lab), Sewer Boss (Sewer)
End-game / rare item blueprints
Where: Houses and zone-specific stashes
Mix of blueprints, nuggets, materials

Blueprints in the game are found in wooden chests scattered throughout the map — in abandoned houses, the Sewers (from Day 11), and the Evergreen Science Facility. Some blueprints drop from bosses: the Mutated Evil Scientist drops the Reconstructor Machine blueprint upon defeat.
The Auto Turret is widely considered the single most valuable craftable item in Bake or Die. It automatically shoots nearby zombies, letting you focus on baking pies during the night. Find the blueprint in chests or progress the Technician class (Lv2 grants one free Auto Turret).
The Wrench (added May 2, 2026) lets you pick up and reposition already-placed items like turrets, shelves, and spike traps. This is invaluable for optimizing your diner layout as you upgrade. A Pro Wrench is unlocked by the Technician class at Lv3.
